A town located in downtown Minami (south of the city), but retains a quiet atmosphere of Naniwa (another name for Osaka).

Hozenji Yokocho street refers to the two narrow lanes which run from east to west and became famous in Sakunosuke Oda's novel, Meoto Zenzai.

There is Hozenji Temple, which is a temple of Jodo shu, with the Mizukake Fudo statue covered with moss.

Stone pavements that are wet with sprinkled water create a distinctive atmosphere.
