Dotonbori is known for its flashy billboards such as Glico. The town is busy until late at night. Cruising is also available.

It is a lively dining street lined with various Osaka foremost delicious restaurants. Dotombori was created by a merchant, Douton Yasui, who had developed a natural river to a canal in the beginning of the Edo Period. As the center for Japanese plays during the Edo Period, meanwhile restaurants began to prosper. Until now, this place has always thrived as the largest dining street in Japan.
