Former Kitano Elementary School was remodeled into a creative "atelier” (or koubo in Japanese) that features 20 shops including local butcher(Kobe beef), sake shop. The atelier is a good place for shopping and craft-making and is within walking distance from Kobe's landmarks such as Kitano Ijinkan, Kyoryuchi and Nankinmachi Chinatown.
