Kiyomizu-dera 【World Heritage】

The Main Hall (Hondo), which is designated as a National Treasure and famous for "Kiyomizu Stage", is a butai-zukuri architectural style followed by the magnificent Shinden-zukuri style and supported by 139 pillars on the cliff. Most of the existing buildings were rebuilt in 1633. Waterfall of Otowa, which is said to be the marvelous healing water that works for all sorts of diseases, is the origin of the name "Kiyomizu-dera". In this area, it is possible to overlook Kyoto street scenic, the cherry blossoms in spring and scarlet maple leaves in autumn are very beautiful.
