Kohfukuji Temple 【World Heritage】
The large precincts are dotted with buildings of national treasures such as the famous five-story pagoda (a symbol of ancient capital Nara), three-story pagoda, Tokondo and Hokuendo.
In the National Treasure Museum (Kokuhokan), you can always see the standing Asura, a national treasure and a most famous Budda statue in Japan. Chukondo is currently under reconstruction to improve the whole temple, which will be completed in 2018. This is a well- known temple that was registered as a World Heritage in 1998. After visiting the Kofukuji temple, you can stroll in the nearby Nara Park, where 1,200 deers live.
