It's called Kimii Temple because there are three Wells inside the mountains. There are around 600 Cherry Blossom Trees planted on the grounds of this temple. It's famous for having the fastest blooming cherry blossoms in the Kansai area. It's called "The temple that calls Spring into the Kinki Area". You can get a full sweeping view of Wakaura Bay from the temple grounds once you've climb the 231 Stone Stair case after passing through the vermillion tower gate.
