Shinjuku

Shinjuku, the city that never sleeps, and continuously evolves. A key landmark is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government office building which is the center of Tokyo's administration. There you can visit the observatories, free of charge, and take in a 360-degree view of Tokyo. The JR Shinjuku station, the busiest station in Japan, handles 3,500,000 passengers a day. From the east exit of the station, there is Japans largest shopping district, with department stores and lots of other massive shops. Then there is Kabukicho - A red light district, and Golden Gai. From the West exit of Shinjuku station is the business district with public art displayed amongst the hotels and high-rise buildings that line the streets. Then there is the city's oasis, Shinjuku gyo-en national gardens. Where you can enjoy nature despite being in the city center.
